Weekend summary at the Wisła Kraków Football Academy (24.-25.10.2026)
Damian Urbaniec
The past weekend was full of interesting events, not just on the pitch. The fixture schedule worked out so that four of our teams played small Kraków derbies in a single day. W the U13 Provincial League, Wisła lost to their opponents 0-3; the match in the D1 II Provincial League against Akademia Mistrzów Cracovia ended in a 2-5 defeat; the CLJ U15 team drew 0-0, while the U16 team suffered a narrow 1-2 loss.
Our oldest youth team fared much better. Coach Jałocha’s players travelled to Wrocław, where they defeated Śląsk 2-1 in an exciting match. Thanks to this win, the young Wisła players moved up to 4th place in the table, just one point behind our opponents this Saturday.
Saturday also featured the Wisła Business Fair, where all sections of the Wisła Kraków Academy presented their wide range of offerings and the development opportunities provided by the club. An important part of the event was a panel discussion featuring representatives of Wisła Kraków Women , the Wisła Kraków Sports Championship School, Wisła Junior, and Academy director Michał Jania. The discussion offered an opportunity to provide insight into the day-to-day operations of the various sections, their specific characteristics, and the Academy’s long-term development plans.
